A Reciprocity Agreement means, that a member of the Swiss Mathematical Society, who is not living in country X, pays a reduced fee for membership in the mathematical society of X. Please visit the web pages of the societies and the agreement text to discover the privileges you enjoy as a reciprocity member. Vice versa, a member of one of the mentioned sister societies, living outside of Switzerland, pays only half of the fee for membership in the Swiss Mathematical Society (see Annual Rate).

A Double-Member Agreement is basically the same as a Reciprocity Agreement but with a society of a neighbouring field or a sister society in Switzerland. Here, the decisive criterion is not the residence of a member.
